The mission of BlackTheaterOnline.com is to build audiences for professional theater productions that feature black artists onstage and behind the scenes; to provide information and ongoing dialogue about Black Theater's past, present and future; and to connect black communities internationally through the art and craft of theater. Simply stated, BlackTheaterOnline.com exists because we have stories to tell and we need accessible ways to let people know about them.

BlackTheaterOnline.com is a division of Walk Tall Girl Productions, a Brooklyn-based company founded by Marcia Pendelton, that provides communication (marketing, audience development and public relations), group sales, and education services for arts. In addition, Walk Tall Girl Productions is committed to producing new work by emerging and established artists and to making the arts accessible to wide racially and culturally diverse audiences.
